Leticia Valverdes’ documentary work aims to portray dignity amongst street children in Brazil. Her project involved her offering homeless girls in Brazil, who previously only saw their reflections in shop windows and public toilets, the chance to play with make-up, gowns and mirrors. The beautiful photographs in this book show them exploring their identities in a brief respite from their daily lives, in which they would be in danger if they displayed their femininity.
