Self made decorated plastic toy by S. Kago - Japan - 2008
Size : 8 cm.
(Doesn’t fit to kids under 252 months.)
This dismembered horror figure was created by Japanese manga artist, Shintaro Kago. No two are exactly alike.
Inspired by both "Boxing Helena"AND some of the more disturbing images of "J-Horror" filmmakers such as Takashi Miike (Audition; Ichi The Killer), Hideo Nakata (Ringu / The Ring), Takashi Shimizu (Ju-On / The Grudge), Sion Sono (Suicide Club; Love Exposure), Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Cure; Pulse), and Teruo Ishii (Horrors of Malformed Men / Horror of a Deformed Man), this figure is ALSO a delightfully twisted variation on Japan’s "lucky" Daruma dolls.
