In this collection of short stories from the late 1980s, Maruo has a field day exploring the limits of provocation as much as possible. He thus rewrites history by imagining a world where Japan would have defeated the United States in 1945, and humorously parodies a legendary popular Japanese singer of the 1970s, who has become a diabolical high school student spreading terror wherever she goes. The virtuoso author pushes abstraction even further than in his other books, and manages with this particularly disturbing eroguro manga to erase the boundaries between nightmare and reality.
